A rising star of his generation on the alto saxophone and vocals, Braxton is a multi-faceted artist with an original sound. Raised in Prince Georges County, MD but now residing in Harlem, NY, Braxton's upbringing has helped to shape his own unique sound niche in Jazz that captures the spirit of the jazz age and also continues to push the genre forward for his generation.
Braxton, a recent graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School, has gained much experience performing alongside Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, Jon Batiste and Robert Glasper, as well as touring with Grammy Award-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott. All the while, still garnering experience in the Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop circles as well. He has performed alongside Rihanna at the MTV's 2016 Video Music Awards, performed on America's Got Talent 2015 and 2016 seasons and even recorded with renowned Rappers Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak's, "Dang" from The Devine Feminine. As a leader, he released his first EP Sketch in 2014 and quickly followed that with a collaborative album entitled Braxton Cook Meets Brown, which brought him to festivals and venues across the country.
Most recently, Braxton and his newly formed band have released their debut album called Somewhere in Between April 13th 2017 on Fresh Selects Label and will be touring both nationally and internationally the summer and fall of 2017 in support of his newest release.
